King Arthur: Legends Rise Colloseum

The Colosseum: An Introduction To PVP

One of the most overlooked areas for newer players in the game is The Colosseum (aka Arena). Most people don’t think to play in the PvP from day 1, but there are many reasons you should.
Firstly, arena is a wide realm of deep diving into your champions usage. It is a free and easy way to learn about all of your champions skills and passive abilities, relic capabilities, team compositions, and more. It is also an excellent source for free resources from day 1. Once you complete some story mode , you’ll of gained a few key heroes. You are then ready to test your heroes in arena. For the early days, be sure they are level 30 with 3 star gear on all 4 champions. Starting off, no one has solid gear or built champions. It creates an equal opportunity for everyone to gain rewards!King arthur legends rise colosseum

Getting Started
Most players will use the starter team of Morgan, Tristan, Kay and Arthur as their first arena team. This is a standard day 1 arena defense, subject to change based on your summoning luck, of course. However, it should be noted that you’ll likely find Arthur underwhelming at first; do no invest in him highly until very late game. When maxed, he can be viable with the Storm Relic.

One thing to keep in mind as a brand new player is a key element in grinding all arena games: The one-man defense. This principal ensures that you have your lowest possible player power displayed whilst the game sets matches for you. There are two key points to properly utilizing a one man defense, and the first is extremely important to remember.

  1. Only set your one-man defense while actively farming arena.
Every time you enter the arena, set a one man defense. Every time you exit arena, put your defense back. Every. Single. Time. With this a good habit, climbing the ranks will be easier than you imagined. Yes, it is grindy, but it is also extremely efficient and a way to gain resources.
  1. Always choose the fights you can win.
Do the easy fights first then once things become less obvious, use it as an opportunity to test your progress and get to know your heroes.  You’ll possibly win or at least gain better screens if you lose one. Losing happens. We all win some. We all lose too. Luckily (or unluckily depending on how you look at it), the Arena allows for endless attacks. So there’s no harm in losing some along the way.

Continue to Experiment
There are going to be many teams with lower levels that you can easily beat. There will come a point where there will be other teams that you cannot beat, and the easy fights die down. Swing anyway. You will learn. Use this time to test your DPS against a control champion. Learn how fast they are. Are you faster? Learn how much damage your DPS can do. Can they get a nuke off to knock out enemies in one shot? Win or lose, you’ll at least learn some skills. If you get wiped, laugh it off. Then next screen, odds are you find an easy fight or two! There is only loss of resources for NOT TRYING! If you get to a point where you hit a wall, go do some other content for a bit after setting your defense back properly! Come back and try again.

Consistently farming arena can assist your game progression greatly. The rewards system is just full of goodies for all of us Knights to farm our way up to Masters. Once you progress in the game a little bit further, your progress will improve. It is a quick way to test out new builds without costing much time or resources, and it can be quite fun battling well built teams as you progress further on down the line. It’s also important to note that the Arena shop is also the only place to currently obtain the heroes Sergius and Florentius.

Make sure you are building a team that fulfills each role. DPS (Attack) are vital for damage, Control heroes help you manage the battle, Defense heroes can tank damage (and sometimes be a strong DPS or control as well) and Support heroes help keep your team alive with healing, revival, and other special skills.

Noteworthy Heroes for Beginners

  • Morgan. Morgan is for sure the MVP of Arena – and maybe the whole game. Spamming Morgan’s s2 in arena will get a lot of people far. Your first priority for legendary chivalry should be getting Morgan to chivalry 3 as she is your first and most used legendary in all of Camelot for a considerable amount of time. She is in the Arena Meta.
  • MVP Rares – Kay, Rosier, Turin (pairs great with Morgan),  Clementine, Sarah (pairs great with Bedivere) and Ardoin.

Understanding the Meta : Arena 101
With any PVP function, there will always be the OP champions that most seek to obtain. Whether you have them or not, it is best to understand the concept of it and how it fluctuates and changes as new characters are added into the game. We are currently working on tier list, but some examples of the current meta are as follows:

  • Bedivere – At the moment, he’s best DPS in game. The Frost Relic he comes with is solid.
  • Rosier  – She’s the best rare [DOT] DPS in game. She’s most used when at chivalry 8 and with the Flame Relic.
  • Cormac – He deals insane damage; almost as much as Bedivere. However, you’ll want him with the Frost Relic only and ideally at Chivalry 8.
  • Lancelot/Rosier – They are a great DOT duo combination.
  • Lot/ Florentius – They are a great Control duo combination however you need Lot’s Flame Relic for this pairing.
  • Aine – She’s a top tier support option that greatly support your team, boost their damage and even spit out some damage of her own, especially at Chivalry 3 or 4.
  • Gillien – She’s a healer but mainly needed for her Attack Gauge management, boosting allies Attack Gauge and reducing the enemies. Her best relic is Frost which you can get in the Relic Shop when it appears.

These are just a few examples to give you an introduction into the PvP world of Camelot. Now get in there and FIGHT. We’ll see YOU in the Arena.

Thank you for the visit & have a great day.
